Terms of Use
Last updated June 14, 2026
By using IsItFlooding (the “Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
What the Service is
IsItFlooding presents live river-level readings from USGS streamgauges alongside National Weather Service flood stages and forecasts, for general informational purposes only.
Not for safety decisions
The Service is not an emergency or life-safety tool. Data is provisional and may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. Always rely on official sources — see our Disclaimer. In an emergency, call 911.
No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages of any kind arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service or its data — including any decision made or action taken based on it.
Data and content
Underlying river and flood data are produced by U.S. government agencies (USGS and the NOAA National Weather Service) and are generally in the public domain. The design, compilation, and presentation of the Service are ours.
Acceptable use
Please use the Service reasonably. Do not attempt to disrupt or overload it, scrape it at a volume that degrades service for others, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Changes
We may update the Service and these terms at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. Questions: munkres.clinton@gmail.com.
